Tips And Ideas For Buying Earrings For A Teen

Blog

Earrings make a nice gift because they are something that can last a lifetime and be enjoyed time and time again. However, buying them for a teen can be a little tricky. If you're past your teen years, you may not know exactly what's trendy with this age demographic right now. And you probably remember how picky you were about clothing and accessories as a teenager, too! So how do you choose earrings they will actually wear? Follow these tips below.

1. Pay attention to the styles you see them wearing.

If this is a teenager who you see in-person on a regular basis, then start paying attention to the earrings you see them wearing. You can even ask them about their earrings and where they purchased them. If you are able to find a similar pair of earrings — maybe ones with a similar style but a different color scheme — then these might be a good choice.

2. Go for something classic.

If you don't see this teen in person often enough to asses their earring taste, then go with something classic. A pair of simple gold hoops, diamond (or faux diamond) studs, or silver dangling earrings is always welcome. The recipient may not wear them for day-to-day activities, but they will appreciate having something for special occasions like weddings, proms, and the like. These earrings also won't go out of style, so the recipient can hold onto them and wear them over a lifetime.

3. Make sure there is a return policy.

In a perfect world, you would choose a pair of earrings that your recipient loves and can't wait to wear. But if this is not the case, you don't want your recipient to have to pretend to like the earrings! Make sure the company you buy from offers a return or exchange policy. Point this out to the teen when you give them the earrings, and emphasize that you won't be offended if they choose to exchange the jewelry. Of course, you could just give them a gift certificate and let them pick out their own earrings, too.

Earrings can make a great gift, although choosing a set for a picky teenager can be a little tough. If you pay attention to what the teen wears, opt for a classic style, and check for a good return policy, you will have an easier time pleasing your recipient.

A Special Gift for a Sweet Mother-In-Law

A few days ago, my mother-in-law’s dad passed away. This sweet man lived a long, full life. He was ninety-one-years-old when he died. At his funeral, my mother-in-law told me she liked the ruby, cross pendant I was wearing. Because I wanted to cheer this sweet woman up, I immediately came up with a plan. I decided to buy her a pendant like mine. Because this pendant was also available in sapphire, I decided to purchase this stone for my mother-in-law. Sapphire is her birthstone. On this blog, I hope you will discover the best types of jewelry items to buy for a mother-in-law. Enjoy!
