3 Ways To Get Your Jewelry Cleaned

Blog

If you have precious stone jewelry, you want to make sure that it stays nice and shiny, no matter what. There are several ways that you can keep your jewelry clean and keep it looking like new.

Dish Soap, Warm Water, and Soft Brush

One of the things that you can do is make a mixture of dish soap and warm water and use a soft cloth or brush. If you are going to use a soft brush, use a soft-bristled toothbrush or a toothbrush made for babies. If the bristles are too stiff, they can cause damage to the metal or the stone. What you want to do is to get the piece of jewelry wet with the solution, and then use the cloth or brush to scrub it down. You might want to go a little bit at a time if you are cleaning something that is large or complex. Rinse it off with some clean water when you are done. If your ring has a lot of buildup, you can use something like a toothpick to carefully clean that buildup out of all the nooks, crannies, and crevices before you wash it off.

Commercial Jewelry Cleaners

There are also commercial jewelry cleaning solutions that you can choose to use. You just need to follow the directions when you use it on the jewelry. If you are going to clean pearls, amber, or another organic piece of jewelry, you want to make sure that you are getting a cleaner that is specifically made for that kind of jewelry, because if you don't, you can cause damage to the piece. You should also make sure that you are double-checking what kind of gemstone you are wanting to clean, because there are ingredients in some of the cleaners that could damage certain gemstones.

Jewelers

If you are worried about doing any kind of jewelry cleaning, or if your jewelry is incredibly dirty, you can take it to the jewelers. They will be able to take care of cleaning off your piece of jewelry and get it looking nice and clean. They can also repair any damage done to it at the same time.

If you have a much-loved piece of jewelry, you might want to make sure that it is nice and clean so that it looks as good as new. There are various ways you can clean it off.

A Special Gift for a Sweet Mother-In-Law

A few days ago, my mother-in-law’s dad passed away. This sweet man lived a long, full life. He was ninety-one-years-old when he died. At his funeral, my mother-in-law told me she liked the ruby, cross pendant I was wearing. Because I wanted to cheer this sweet woman up, I immediately came up with a plan. I decided to buy her a pendant like mine. Because this pendant was also available in sapphire, I decided to purchase this stone for my mother-in-law. Sapphire is her birthstone. On this blog, I hope you will discover the best types of jewelry items to buy for a mother-in-law. Enjoy!
